Warning! This post may have you ditching your current skin care line.

I have been trying to eliminate chemicals and preservatives from my life for many years now. This is such a challenge, as this crap is used in so many things, from food to toiletries. In terms of beauty products and toiletries, sometimes it is hard to find something that not only works well but is good for you.

My skin has been problematic ever since I was graced with hormones. I struggled with acne and rosacea and have tried many different skin care products, from Oxy Pads way back in the day, that felt like they were burning your face off, to the harshest of harsh: Accutane. At the time, Accutane was the only thing that cleared my skin and made me feel confident, which it damn well should have, considering what you go through during the process! I still struggle with rosacea and hormonal/stress acne here and there, but I am no longer willing to use harsh chemicals and lotions. Luckily I know a wonderful aesthetician who shares the same views on skin care as I do.

R Devine Skin Care

Rachel Devine has created a plant-based skin care line using the highest quality, raw, certified organic ingredients – Mother Nature in a bottle. R Devine Skin Care launched in August 2015 and the response has been amazing! Her products are pure and smell wonderful, but most importantly – they work!  Using them is so enjoyable that they become a daily ritual that you look forward to.

My favourite products are Sacred Earth: Botanical Cleansing Clay & Mask, Sacred Calm: Soothing Facial Cleanser & Serum, and Devine Radiance: Moisturizing Body Oil. Since using these products my skin feels so soft and my complexion is much more clear and smooth.

SacredEarth5Sacred Earth: Botanical Cleansing Clay & Mask

This product is very effective yet gentle enough for daily use. You can use it as a cleanser or as a mask. I use it in the shower so I can apply it all over my body. My shower is a crazy mess, but I don’t even care! I also use it once a week as a mask to increase the amazing benefits of the Moroccan Lava Clay. Definitely a must try.

Sacred Calm: Soothing Facial Cleanser & Serum

This product is perfect for all skin types and conditions, including acne and rosacea. Yet another product with multiple uses, it can be used as a cleanser to easily remove make-up and impurities, and applied again as your serum. How simple is that process!? The amount that you use is never larger than a dime for the cleanser and a pea for the serum, so your bottles last a long time. I am still on my first bottle since August. (Actually my second bottle…only because my daughter contaminated mine when she was concocting magic potions. Kids…gotta love’em!)

Some people may think thRDevineSkinCare-04at applying oil to oily skin is insane. But honestly it’s the best thing to do for your skin. Not only does it penetrate deeply, offering ultimate hydration and preventing wrinkles, but it also improves your skin’s natural balance. Applying these products eliminates the over production of oil because your skin no longer has to do this for you. When you use harsh cleansers with synthetics and crap you are stripping the skin of the oils it needs, resulting in oily skin again and a
gain.

Devine Radiance: Moisturizing Body Oil

Love, love, love it! The oil absorbs quickly into your skin leaving it silky and oh so fragrant! No need to wear perfume or body sprays that overpower the world with artificial stench. The essential oils give a light and soothing scent that is noticeable but not offensive. I go through this stuff like crazy! At least a bottle a month – that’s how much I love it.

R Devine Skincare offers so many other products, including bath and body products, and even an organic beauty tea. Visit her website to see what will work for your skin. Enter coupon code “worldbalance” to receive 20% off your purchase.

Once you try it let me know what you think. I hope you love it as much as I do!
