As I come to the end of my 6 month online course, I have learned that the pace that’s right for me is the way to be. A lot has changed for me in the past year; I am now aware that just because someone else is achieving their goals more quickly than me, doesn’t mean I have failed in any way.
I was always worried about being behind, and when I hadn’t completed the tasks “on time” I would just forget those tasks all together and move onto the place where I was “supposed” to be. How messed up is that?! I tell ya one thing, it caused a lot of overwhelm and anxiety for me.
I have since learned to EMBRACE MY PACE! My pace may be different from your pace, but I’m still moving in the right direction. The direction of accomplishing my goals, helping others, and creating a loving and abundant life for my family, full of fun, purpose and appreciation.
I read a post by Kate Northrup this morning where she talks about just that, There’s No Such Thing As Being Behind. Though back to school had me excited to grow, trying to play catch up after our busy summer holiday had me a little scatterbrain and thinking “oh no, I’m so behind”. Kate put it all into perspective for me and gave me that little pep talk I needed to snap myself out of it, and just go with my flow. Thanks Kate!
So, I encourage you to EMBRACE YOUR PACE and celebrate what you are accomplishing along your journey.
And don’t forget to HAVE FUN!
